Bronzeville Academic Center is an alternative high school where students, ages 16-21, may earn a diploma after leaving a traditional school. Bronzeville offers a complete high school program focusing on the individual needs of students in the context of a strong school community. All teachers are qualified professionals, and the favorable staff-student ratio allows teachers to know each student well. Volunteers provide tutoring on site, and licensed counselors are available to assist students with a wide variety of needs, including career/college selection and family or behavioral concerns. There are many opportunities for students and their parents to be involved, including clubs, athletic teams, an active student council, and a parent team. Bronzeville also offers a GED preparation program.
